This was by far the best part of the whole novel! They were far from perfect, but incredibly engaging with their own inner conflicts and how things were revealed as the plot thickened with that plus their developing feelings for each other while they kept up the ruse that they were together. I especially liked the two main characters, Demi and Nico. She wrote a “fake dating” circumstance here, and I’m always a huge sucker for those kinds of stories! They’re always so much fun to read for me, it’s almost as fun as the good ‘ole “Enemies to Lovers” trope.

This was my first Meagan Brandy novel, and while I wasn’t exactly blown away, I can say that she can also certainly write an engaging romance novel that had me turning the pages late into the night to see what happened next. Although we do see him as we have in the past Brayshaw books, we see his nurturing side, that of a significant other rather than a friend like we saw him being with Raven & Victoria.īrielle is the perfect girl for Royce!! I love that their banter kept me laughing. Royce is still his same fun-loving, smart alec self, because let’s be honest…we’d be mad at Meagan for changing him.

There are so many things that made me laugh & cry. WOW! Meagan Brandy truly knows how to end the Brayshaw series with a bang…literally!!
